Niki Gregory: A singer songwriter and musican who has always had a love of music. In 1993 Niki’s path met individually with Gareth, Alvin and Jayne. In 1994 she was signed under the management of Bob Lamb, producer of UB40’s Signing Off album, various works by Duran Duran, Stephen Duffy and the Lilac Times and original drummer with the Steve Gibbons Band. They have called their collective journey 'Sakaash', which is Sanskrit for current of might and light or good vibrations.

Niki has been inspired by a broad spectrum of music, travel and insights. After gaining rich experience on the gig scene, in recording studios and an opportunity to appear on television, she decided to use these as a foundation to go it alone. Since this time Niki has been writing, creating and experimenting with the same 3 friends, each an excellent musician in their own field.

Here they have completed an authentic collection of chilled acoustic works – a fusion of world, jazz and contemporary folk influences. Overall a beautiful eclectic mix of compositions.

Alvin Davis: Originally signed by FM Records and Sony-Tristar, Alvin has now produced and released 4 superb contemporary jazz albums. He has proven himself as an accomplished producer and master class on saxophone, flute and trumpet.

Gareth Williams: Versatile guitarist and producer. Exponent and advocate of the earth and all good things. Impressive range of skills and styles from East to West.

Jayne Dixon: Exceptionally talented percussionist. Played on acclaimed albums such as the innovative broken beat and soul sounds of Blue Eye Blak by Colonel Red. Also tours with acoustic singer song writer Jayne Powell. Enjoys working with all types of ethnic and alternative sounds and rhythm.

Also thanks to contributions from backing vocalists Gwen Harris and Gerry Power and not forgetting those veterans of music; Simon Smith/Tom Hill on double base and Pete Hartley on violetra, viola and violin. A touch of genius.

The seed of these works can be summed up in one sentence; live each moment being the best you can be, in the end, this is all we can ask of ourselves and each other.
